Not Anymore: A Story of Revolution has won the Short Film Award at the One World Media Awards in London, England! In my acceptance speech I dedicated the award to my friend James Foley and all the other journalists missing in #Syria. I also thanked the judges for their integrity, as they chose Not Anymore: A Story of Revolution as the winner despite receiving emails and pressure from a small group of journalists and others who did not want my film to win because they dislike me and they were trying to influence the judges decision. Although this is the 48th award that Not Anymore: A Story of Revolution has won, it is one of the most important awards because the judges are journalists and other media professionals. This was the first year that there was a Short Film Award category, making Not Anymore: A Story of Revolution the winner of the inaugural award! The competition was very tough (the other two finalists were films by VICE and Channel 4!) The One World Media Awards are among the most prestigious awards for the media, and this is a great award for the film, for Nour, and for the entire Syrian revolution effort that the film is helping.
