Not coping with this cold snap and I am seriously considering tying my hot water bottle around my middle body today. Come back temperatures above 5C, all is forgiven. Definitely soup weather today and this one is a sort of newbie. For the first time were doing it properly. Its our baked potato, mature cheddar and chive soup (were baking the potatoes and the skins will be gorgeously crispy so Im hoping for lots of those dark crispy bits to blend in with all that cheesy and chivey gorgeousness. Soup will be served as usual with our own granary bread. Specials include a warmed Khobez flatbread filled with our hummus, rocket, our roasted vegetables & our garlic & lemon yoghurt. Cakes will include banana and caramel cake (didnt quite get it onto the counter yesterday), more flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, something with beetroot and a Victoria sandwich (at some point today!).
