Not really a complaint about consumer laws, more of a whinge about customer service. I went to a well known vacuum cleaner shop yesterday and I told the sales assistant that I just wanted a basic vacuum cleaner that does the job, nothing fancy. Next thing I know the guy starts throwing sand on his carpet and tells me to vacuum it. After the 3rd vacuum cleaner and after telling him I dont have any pets, I just walked out, and into myer where I found a perfect little vacuum on sale. The guy at myer was really nice, and I walked out feeling happy. Note to all vacuum cleaner sales ppl, if u want to sell a vacuum cleaner or demonstrate how one is better than the other, dont get ur customers to do the vacuuming, dont try to pressure them into buying a particular one because u need to get rid of old stock, and do listen to ur customers needs. Not everyone needs to or wants to spend $500 on a vacuum cleaner.
