Not saying this will fit all tastes, but had to post this link below: I was chatting tonight with Erica Whitfield and we strayed on to the topic of (old) music including an old favorite of mine, Al Stewart. One YouTube link lead to another and I came this taping of him of a 1965 performance. First time that I am hearing this song, but I recognize the room he is playing in. Its the brick-walled Gothic-ceiling cellar of Bunjies folk club and coffee bar in Soho, London, and he was the singer-in-residence there for a few years. I know because I stopped in there one Friday night in July 1975. The singer-in-residence at the time paused his set and offered his guitar to anyone in the very small audience who wanted to play. I took him up on the offer and, not knowing the clubs history, coincidentally played a couple Al Stewart songs I liked at the time. Later in the evening he filled me in on the clubs history. I was 23, I sat there with my jaw dropped when he told me of the history of the clubs performers. Maybe Ill pick the guitar back up. youtube/watch?v=b4zULQipyM8&list=RDb4zULQipyM8&index=1
