Not sure if this is considered a Christmas Day miracle, but I certainly like to believe so: After spending a short evening with the family outside, the little one was tired and we decided to take a taxi home. To our horror moments later, we realised that – in the midst of juggling with too many loose bags – we had left behind The Missus pouch containing her purse and mobile phone in the backseat of the cab! Frantic and distraught, we called both the taxi company and bank to report the loss of items (and cards). I was hoping and praying hard that somehow someone would be kind enough to return the bag to us even though it seemed impossible at that time...and, in about 15 minutes, the taxi company called! The cab driver just returned the pouch to us and – out of gratitude – I offered him a little monetary reward (on top of his new fare). Faith in humanity restored.
