Not sure this is specifically mid-century but its in a 70s house so Ill say it counts. I removed a yellowed and humming florescent light box ceiling from a house recently purchased by 2 friends of mine. The wallpaper is from the 30s or 40s off ebay and the lights are late 60s from an estate sale. New wood trim. Its pretty bold but I LOVE the way it turned out! I will caution anyone thinking about removing one of these ceilings in that the locations of the wire is probably NOT centered. This took some wire fishing and wall patching but it was well worth it.
