Not surprised but disappointed to learn that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers concluded that clear cutting contributed to the recent catastrophic landslide in the state of Washington. If we continue to clear cut, frack, strip mine, and drill, one day soon the Earth will have had enough of us and our machines. As Jim Morrison once said, What have they done to the Earth ? What have they done to our fair sister ? Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her ... stuck her with knives.
