Not the best news today. Since the ultrasound done yesterday - TopicsExpress

Not the best news today. Since the ultrasound done yesterday showed infection in Stephanie Gibbs fallopian tube, it means 2 more weeks in the hospital with continued IV antibiotics before they can replace the shunt, so the vent (brain drain) has to stay in place. It sounds like the infection actually started below and spread up to the shunt. They will consult with infectious diseases to monitor her progress. In the meantime, this semi-private room (now on roommate #4! ) is presenting its own unique set of challenges. (But I did get my crown repaired by a dentist close to the hospital).
