Not the brightest (or fairest) tool in the shed. In court it - TopicsExpress

Not the brightest (or fairest) tool in the shed. In court it ends up being their word against the rapists word, and overwhelmingly people believe the rapist. Shes not real solid on how this presumption of innocence thing works, is she? Aside from her assuming guilt as a fait accompli, **one doesnt have to believe the alleged rapist to find them not guilty.** The legal standard in a criminal case is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. That is the real issue here, not people wanting to believe accused rapists full stop, although that *does* happen: see Bill Clinton.
