Note: we are aware that this is a sensitive issue, so ask that you PLEASE only reply with helpful, FACTUAL and informative comments. This is not a debate on the vaccination subject, and anyone directing personal remarks, rude comments or otherwise unhelpful and unnecessary emotion-fuelled responses will be removed. this questions is to do with people who do and dont vaccinate but I hope it doesnt cause arguments I have 2 daughters aged 5 and 2.5 and one on the way (due Nov) my daughters were always vaccinated and are up to date and I plan on vaccinating my next daughter the same. my problem is I live in a very small isolated community and there is a mum (we used to be very close but now for other circumstances are not) but she has three kids aged 4 and 3 and 1 who are besties with my kids. we still see each other regularly due to our kids being so close and being in a small community. she is due with number 4 at the end of this month. she doesnt vaccinate her kids at all. she feels that vaccinations dont have a need in first world countries and these diseases only happen in places like Africa etc im worried about my new born. when my kids were born I never worried about the close family getting booster shots etc because it was only very close family and i didnt get out much when my others were babies and didnt have a playgroup circle of mums etc this time i am really worried. Should I be? How old were your bubs before you took them to things like play groups and playdates and generally out and about? thank you
