Notice of a Public Comment Period – DEC’s Contaminated Sites Program is proposing to change regulations on contaminated sites and underground storage tanks. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is proposing to change regulations on contaminated sites and underground storage tanks to broaden the number of individuals who may qualify to conduct environmental work at contaminated sites and underground storage tank sites, adopt updates to referenced documents, and to clarify, simplify and make consistent additional regulatory language. Please see the attached Notice of Public Comment Period. Comments must be received by 5 p.m. Nov. 26, 2014. You may submit your comments through the State of Alaska’s online public notice website at: aws.state.ak.us/OnlinePublicNotices/Default.aspx.
