Notice to City of Wayne Water customers: It was suggested by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services that the City of Wayne chlorinate the water system after the tornado struck the community on October 4. Recent water sampling has determined the need for continued chlorination for further purification of the communitys water. Beginning yesterday, October 31, water department personnel began adding chlorine to the water system. This treatment will continue for approximately two to three weeks. There is no need for any water customers to change their normal drinking or usage habits at this time. If you have any questions, please call city offices at 402-375-1733.
