November 12, 2013...Today I am thankful that I am a cancer survivor. In December, 2008, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had surgery on December 18th at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Dr. Moskel, Watson Clinic LLP, was my surgeon. I had a fairly uneventful recovery and came home on December 24th, just in time to spend Christmas with my family. I was assigned, Dr. Mulaparthi, Watson Clinic Cancer Care and Research Center, as my oncologist. All test results were such that I chose not to have any chemo or radiation. As a result of careful follow up tests and good medical care, I have remained cancer free for almost 5 years. Thank God for being with me and having His hand on me these last 5 years. I thank God for all survivors and am praying all who are fighting cancer right now. Please support The American Cancer Society, have all tests that are recommended for you, and pray for a complete cure!!!!
