November 23 As I am receiving Your free gift of Grace to calm the activity of my mind enough to sit in Your Presence for the brief time I, learning to accept Your help to accomplish such a vast feet if I could even accomplish what only You can make happen should it be Your Will for me, I see myself from a view of none judgement Ive never before seen but as I see the pure being You created me to be I quickly get my attention distracted back to the Worlds evils, and also the pleasures, but they many mixed groups: Some Evil intensions leading to evil as well as some good leading to good but I mostly see many good intensions turning to evil or bad ends but I notice only the ones with Your Presence where bad intensions are involved turn out with good results. That is my prayer Lord; Use me to be a testament to Your True saving Grace. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.—Romans 8:38–39 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.—Psalm 4:7–8 Always Trust in God, William Jesus Calling: Sarah Youngs inspired words from quiet time with God: As you go through this day, look for tiny treasures strategically placed along the way. I lovingly go before you and plant little pleasures to brighten your day. Look carefully for them, and pluck them one by one. When you reach the end of the day, you will have gathered a lovely bouquet. Offer it up to Me with a grateful heart. Receive My Peace as you lie down to sleep, with thankful thoughts playing a lullaby in your mind. As you sit quietly in My Presence, let Me fill your heart and mind with thankfulness. This is the most direct way to achieve a thankful stance. If your mind needs a focal point, gaze at My Love poured out for you on the cross. Remember that nothing in heaven or on earth can separate you from that Love. This remembrance builds a foundation of gratitude in you, a foundation that circumstances cannot shake. 11-23-12 Devotional: Keeping your mind upbeat when your failures occur is hard to do but essential to keep our mind open for the plan You have for us. Lord, I have found the best way to stay thankful is to get past myself, a huge task as of late, but never easily accomplished. Lord, I want to act as though I am all together and all knowing but if I was the first thing I would realize is that ONLY You are. You lived a sinless human life, a task well beyond what any mortal human is capable of and we need to be At the cross where we find the Grace and forgiveness that only You can offer. Lord, I find myself in the midst of what I see as my first serious test since I truly began my walk with You(When You sent me the urgent wake up call(7/29/93). I lost my temper with the representative on the phone when I explained my plight and asked to be put in touch with someone who can actually do something about my issue. When she responded there is no one who can forgive the fees I hung up. My father agrees that Verizon fell down on providing adequate service but they will never forgive the fees. Their salesman promised they would provide the home service I knew I would find myself in need of. They acknowledge that they do not provide on-site in home service but the contract I signed does not offer that. I told her there sales department shouldnt offered it then. She insisted the contract is still in force. I was getting no where so I called Ken Omaro, On Your Side and left a message to that effect nearly begging Ken to call me back. We shall see how much On Your Side they are. If they do not even return the call that does not appear FCN is very On my Side. More of a catchy title to please their viewers. Lord, I am not finding any positives except that You gave me back the ability to navigate these rocky roads again. I guess if I think of it that way I do find something to praise You for. I am always grateful that I have returned to a level at which I can be challenged in this way again however I still have to figure ways to protect myself from these pitfalls. Im not giving up my fight nor do I feel I should. There is still no way that I can justify paying a termination fee because I only terminated because they did not provide the service they promised. I do not think I am being unreasonable. I voluntarily took $800 in termination fees to be with a company that would NOT take advantage of me and my brain injury. I know God says to turn the other check but that is when one is being unreasonable by this Worlds standards. I think it will be a bumpy road but I informed their representative that I would require that kind of service and he then promised that service. Case closed.
