November 23rd is Eat a Cranberry Day! Cranberries are native to North America and there are about 3500 species! Did you know that cranberries are not actually grown in bogs? They actually like dry, sandy soil and the patch is flooded with water to make the berries come off of the vine and float, making them easier to harvest. Ocean Spray uses some cranberries from Bandon, Oregon where one of their signature crops is cranberries. Cranberries are rich in antioxidants that fight inflammation, aging, and cancer. Pair them with turkey or drink them as 100% cranberry juice…cranberries are a tart treat! ow.ly/EG9KT
