November 5th, 2013 Constitutional Amendment Election Early Voting: October 28 – 31 Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. November 1 Friday 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. “Texans know that water is a big deal. Everything from the food on grocery shelves to property values to new construction and overall economic growth depends on proper management of our Texas water resources. That’s why it is so important that Texas voters approve Proposition 6. The problem is, years of failed leadership have left our water infrastructure in dire need of repair and improvement. The first step to making sure these critical water projects move forward is passing Proposition 6. Want to make a difference? Cast a ballot. Early voting is open right now until November 1st for Texas’s constitutional amendment election. One of the propositions on the ballot, Proposition 6, will make a vital $2 billion investment in water projects across the state. Proposition 6 is the first step to helping our communities conserve water, build and rebuild our infrastructure, and secure our water future. Of course, water isn’t the only reason to cast a ballot in this election. Two other propositions, 1 and 4, honor the sacrifices of Texas’s brave men and women in uniform. Proposition 1 provides a property tax exemption for the families of patriots who gave their lives in the line of duty to our nation. Proposition 4 extends a current property tax exemption for disabled veterans living in homes that have been donated. Whether you go to the polls to help secure our water future or to honor our Texas heroes and their families, we all need to make our voices heard on November 5th.” Wendy
