November 8... National Day of Prayer. A struggling year - TopicsExpress

November 8... National Day of Prayer. A struggling year passed since supertyphoon Yolanda devastated Eastern Visayas and its neighboring regions... It was a whole year of struggle to get our lives back... a desperate journey of denial and acceptance; a hopeful battle with an armor of Filipino courage and faith towards a new beginning... to find hope with our second life. Today, we remember our poor loved ones who lost their lives because of Yolanda...we pray for them, that they may find peace and joy wherever they are now. Some may still be grieving of the loss, for them we pray that they may find peace and hope as they continue the life God prepared for them. But my only hope is that, this day may not be only a day of grieving and of mourning for the loss...instead, may today be also a day of thanksgiving and of hope...gratefulness to God and to people across nations and continents who helped us in all the ways possible, as we now continue our journey to a life of hope and faith. Amen.
