Now Since my FB is flooded with more or less similar comments on the Rahul Gandhi interview, I have slightly different thoughts. Yes, like everyone else I am disappointed with the interview, he should had been more articulated and more prepared for the questions- he infact dodged a large number of them with woman and youth empowerment, RTI, change of system and fundamental question cliches. But his attempt to come across as a sincere transparent, politician with an angry young man image was somewhat successful. His tried to portray himself as an outsider, a rebel within the congress party who is pushing to stop corruption, change the political system and build a better society. Ofcourse he made no attempt to defend corruption in UPA 2 and his own inaction- but then again he didnt have anything to defend with. All he could do is to highlight what his govt has done or tried to do in the last 10 years and what are the thoughts and ideas of congress ( and rahul gandhi). Only if he had done a little more homework in preparing for the SOP :P
