Now back home debate is gaining momentum on Senator Muriuki karues bill on potatoes in which he proposes that potatoes be marketed in Kgs rather than bags. Its a nice deal and nobody is against it but Nyandarua county assembly members are up in arms that Karue has taken their role to senate. they say that that is an issue they can legislate in their bunge. Now suppose nyandarua county assembly passes a law to that effect, kwani ni wao pekee hukuza viazi. that law cannot be applied in Nakuru county or elsewhere and they as well produce potatoes much higher than nyandarua. what will happen to nyandarua potatoes? Thats why the issue should be handled at National level and Karue is right. Mmenielewa kweli?
