Now feels like a good time to post this, since Autumn is fully under way. This song, above all others, will always remind me of Summer 14. One of the more uneventful in my life, but among the best. Unlike the other great summers of my life, I had no grand adventures this year. No giant group camping trips, no family vacations to far-flung locales. I hatched no madcap schemes. But I did so many little things that bring me so much joy to look back on. For a few brief hours a week, I got to feel like I was part of the Cottins Hardware family when I volunteered at the Cottins Hardware Farmers Market. I finally got around to taking *full* advantage of the fact that Kyle Gibson lived just down the street, just before that ended. I got to know my neighbors. I dived headfirst into the Lawrence Arts Centers production of The Hobbit, where I met the irrepressible Martha Keslar and had the most fun Ive ever had working with kids. It was a fantastic, subtle, and unforgettable summer.
