Now for the Sunfire (my 16 year old car that I have had for 13 years) .. I noticed Sunday after dropping mom off that there was some kind of a whining noise in the steering. Doug checked the power steering fluid when I got home and it looks find. I checked the tire pressure in my car on Monday afternoon on my way to work and they are fine too. So it is ether the power steering pump going bad or the CV joints that NTB told me a few years ago were going to need to be replaced... At $250-300 per side = $500-600 to replace. Either way neither of these issues are an easy fix nor a cheap one considering the blue book value on my car is about $550 and the noise is getting more constant. It is only a matter of time before it goes all the way regardless of which it is. And Dad isnt here to fix or advise about it either :( I just hold my breath every time I get in the car and have to drive it. I talk to Dad a lot while I am in the car asking him to get me to and back each time safely. In order for me to attempt to get a new-car loan I have to have my attorney petition the bankruptcy court for permission for the next 2 years of my 3 years of Chapter 13 bankruptcy payments. And considering I am only working part time at the gym now, I do not know if a bank/credit union would even give me a loan in my name :( I really with $$ Trees did exists :( Especially since Doug and I are trying to have a baby and my car just isnt safe anymore. I think I am gonna write Santa a special letter this year :)
