Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; (Luke 17:20 NASB) Easter is not just an observation. Its not only a day for us to acknowledge that God is not dead. While that is important lets not miss what it is we should be celebrating. I believe Jesus wants us acknowledge why He did what He did. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11 NASB) He died and rose again to give us NEW life. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us once we have been born again. Not only do we have that same power within us to do the things Jesus did but to be able to receive LIFE in our mortal bodies. To be born again all it takes is to believe and receive His grace..it is by grace we are saved. Jesus died for all so that all can live but you must receive. It doesnt matter how good you are or what religious practices you observe all that matters is you recognize that what Christ did was enough. You dont need to earn His love. He loves YOU now. The gospel is simple. Receive from Him and begin your new life.
