Now if I could just keep Hager in a positive mood. He talks and looks like Eeyore!! The girl from PT got on to him today. She has already told him to channel his negative energy into positive. She told him that she has only seen a gloomy look all week even with his giant accomplishments. She had him balancing himself while sitting on the side of the bed and rocking forward, backward, and side to side. The two therapist then got him under the arms, locked his knees with their leg and stood him. He just fussed about their grip pushing on the pacemaker in his chest. We are all so excited but him :( The Speech Therapist had him swallow applesauce today. She too praised him on his great accomplishments. He took some bites and was ready to stop because he wants a big glass of cold water. The same Eeyore!!She will give him more time to do his swallow exercises and do a barium swallow Monday instead of tomorrow. No dialysis scheduled. Last day was Saturday 4/19. IV switched to D5W by renal doctor to help bring sodium down some. No blood or platelets needed today. All of this is good news but he remains depressed even with meds. Eeyore!!! Lord, I love Eeyore but he needs to become a Tigger or Pooh!! Please put the spark in him. I know he is tired of this but soon it should start snowballing into place so we can go home. Work a miracle with his attitude. He has come so far. Help him to realize that and know that he can do it because You are with him every step of the way. I love You Lord. Continue to help me be his cheerleader. I am not throwing down my pompoms in defeat. We are winners with You!!!!
