Now if there is hatred, either in the host, or in the guests among themselves, or in a family, it usually stirs up strifes and contentions, and makes all enjoyment unpleasant and uncomfortable. You can eat a juicy steak with sumptuous and magnificent entertainment but such a feast is little worth if accompanied with feelings of hatred, jealousy, and ill will. It is better to eat vegetables with people that bring you love, happiness and contentment than a family feast full of strife.
