Now moored off Swan Island is the last intact WWII landing vessel - TopicsExpress

Now moored off Swan Island is the last intact WWII landing vessel of its kind in the country, the LCI-713. Run by a crew of volunteers, theyve done a great job historically restoring her, considering she was essentially a stripped shell when they took possession. Theres a small museum on one deck and on Saturdays there is nearly always a work party and someone is happy to give free tours. This hidden gem needs more public attention! Volunteers are welcome, too.
