Now that Bailey is here and healthy, I can post this without being called hormonal! I got a lot of advise, good and bad, which got old, but mostly, it was the horror stories. Why people felt the need to tell me how awful delivering their children were, Ill never understand. I found the experience of birth an absolute miracle and a blessing, no matter how bad it hurt. Because, for some of us, we only cared about having a successful pregnancy and delivery. It beats the hell out of the alternative... I think many women want to wear their painful deliveries as a badge of honor or bragging right. Coming from someone who has lost multiple pregnancies, the true badge of honor is being called mommy.
