Now that LDRS is going to be 45 minutes from my house next year, I figured I needed to design something that was up to the task. A couple years ago I built a rocket called the Cosmic Cucumber that had a long tailcone as well as nose cone. It looked like the enormous vegetable described by Arlo Guthrie in a live performance version of the Motorcycle Song. It was approx. 44 long, 4 in dia. and flew on big 38mm motors. It met an untimely death last year. Cucumbers dont lawn dart well, rocket or otherwise. So I designed an upgrade. 53 long, 4 diameter airframe, but it flies on 75mm 3-grain motors. Now I have a Mach 2 Monster Pickle. Whaddaya Think?
