Now that we are back home, What a crazy day yesterday was! I was the only driver that hadnt driven this track layout before and spent all morning doing pretty average laps that I wasnt happy with then got my act together for qualifying and qualified 2nd behind Beau Yates. Battles started straight away and I had a bye run first up, then Finny Ohare in top 16 which I won after he missed a gear, then I beat Shane VanGisbergen in the top 8 after he put 2 wheels off track (OMG). Top 4 i got Michael Prosenik and managed to take him to a rerun but spun on my chase lap as I was on belts. So I battled Nick Coulson (current championship leader) for 3rd spot which went to a rerun and nick spun on his chase lap which ment I finished in 3rd place for ADGP round 2! So pumped to have a great result thanks to my crew Ian, Anthony and Troy for making the trip over and my sponsors Barossa Spot On Fishing, Achilles, Jaustech, Einsign, Shockworks, Sonic performance and of course Graham from GH haulage for taking my car over and back. Its so good to be able to take it to the best drivers in Australia in a car I built my self in dads shed! I cooked the car in the victory skids so now the motor will come out for a check over haha (any one get a good video of it?). Well done to all the driver and crew on an awesome event!
