Now that we are going to have Republican control of the Senate and the House, here is what I propose: Every time there is a piece of legislation to be presented to Obama, there first needs to be a public opinion poll taken about this piece of legislation, and a letter attached to it when it is presented to Obama for his signature. That way, if Obama fails to sign the legislation, the public will know the reason why it is not happening. In the past, Harry Reid was just not letting these bills go to the president at all, and they were being buried in Reids office, so Obama had that to hide behind. No more! Now the public is going to get to see the real reason why things are as they are. I know some of you say that emailing your representatives in office is a waste of time, but it is not. I have emailed Martha Roby and Jeff Sessions many times and have received answers each time. I am going to email them about this issue, and I urge all of you to do the same with your reps. If enough people demand a public opinion poll before these bills are introduced to Obama, and he then does not sign them, then the public will know who the real cause of the problems is. And if he fails to sign them even though majority of public opinion wants him to, he will have no one to blame it on, as he always looks for someone to blame his failures on. Now that we have a piece of leverage to work with, why not use it to full advantage for the Republicans? It only takes a minute to send an email to your representatives, and if enough people do it, they will have to take notice. If you think this is a good idea, repost it for your friends to see, and lets get the truth about Obama out in the open. This is one way to do it.
