Now that winter coat is starting to grow in, I noticed a small area of white hairs...uh oh! This is my 6yr old Morgan/Stb gelding after his first summer of conditioning for LD rides in Northeast region. Lots of hill climbs/descents. He is not really gaited, but based on a post here, I now know he will do a stepping pace:) We have been using a brand new Freeform shortback for the past year. Just ordered the poron pads because I had only those blue pads in there and was told by the wonderful lady who sold me the saddle that I should be using the poron. The hairs are not under the stirrups, or anywhere else except under the place where I was holding the saddle to keep my aching back steady. Hurt myself 2 months ago, are the white hairs likely from that month of me holding onto that spot? Yikes. Any Freeform users wish to chime in? The Synergist (originally his dams saddle) which was re-fit for him is now coming out. The horse preferred the Freeform, but now, I dont know.
