Now this was a bit of on how people should get along This was about 1992 at the height of the skin head craze in Columbus and all of sudden we get racial obscenities on the out side wall of our gym on 9th and high in Columbus. We found out a day later that some skin heads had chased a foreign black man into a Taco Bell 4 doors down.. What made this interesting was that these scums of society were living just 3 doors down in an apartment right on High Street next to the gym.. So one day after a good workout 5 of my friends that included 2 other white guys and 3 other friends that were black waited patiently for one of them to stick their beedy little heads and make a comment // That would have given an excuse for us to go and clean out the trash and place it out the next day which was trash day. Bummer they not once came out and the following day someone had set fire to their apartment and burned them out.. We waited for about 2 hours but they were a no show.. ABout 30 minutes into our showdown I called ourselves the real Rainbow Coalition and not the of the one Jesse Jackson had. We were of course younger and not thinking the best but that proves one thing anyone can work together for a better ending to a cause. It proved that people of differnet races can work together and on top of that they were my homies as I used to call them then... My HOME BOYS !!!
