"Now you may call what we – the DREAM 9 – did, theatrics, or a “publicity stunt” in order to trivialize our efforts but the very fact of the critics being unjustifiably loud reveals the truth to be louder & shatters whatever lie has shadowed us for too long. In another way, one may call it unimaginative theatre to acquiescently participate in a fraught system: bargaining the lives of 11 million while 33,000 are detained & another 1,100 are deported DAILY & still say there is equality under the law, or due process, or equal protection or a “right way” to do things & beg the same politicians that have chosen monies over bodies time & time again for mediocre reform masked as relief."
