Noynoy thumbs down anti-dynasty bill Written by Paul Atienza Thursday, 30 January 2014. President Aquino appears to have rejected the call to certify as urgent the long overdue bill of anti-dynasty in Congress, claiming there are other top priorities such as the benefits and pensions of the police and soldiers.Aquino said he would want to see the copy of the proposed bill but declared there would be other more priority bills which must be passed in the readings of the lawmakers.“Well, I am interested to have the entire proposal,” Aquino said.Aquino has his first cousin, Sen. Bam Aquino in the Senate, who won in the 2013 elections for a six-year term.Aquino said the administration has several matters that must be attended to “both in the domestic and in the international scene.”“So I want to see first all the details and I ask for an apology, it is not in our top priority at present,” Aquino said.Aquino said he could have a change of mind once he is given chance to see for himself the copy of the proposed bill.“But if I could have a chance to see it and if it’s doable, then why not?”Aquino said.Aquino emphasized there are several pending bills which should be on top of the consideration to be certified as urgent.
