O Captain! My Captain! My blog on Mahendra Singh Dhoni Well he came,he saw and he conquered….Mahendar Singh Dhoni retired with making much noise unlike the Great man Sachin…Though some news channels speculated hell lot of things on his retirement…Till the last date of his retirement..Nobody has ever decoded what goes through his small town cricketing brain…Even his retirement was impromptu one… On every post match ceremony he has been constantly asked about what were your plans..How he remains so cool under pressure…There is always that Dhoni-mystified smile…and reply… look at my hair…pressure was reflected there.. He deserves all the adulation and accolades…Tendulkar is known for his exceptional batting prowess…Dravid the immaculate technician..Laxman the wrist artist and the god on onside..Dhoni doesnot posses any of these talents…that is why he was never compared with these great...he has his own signature style…helicopter shots..The famous six he hit in one test match to Shoib akhtar in Pakistan…and who can forget the world cup winning six..And India won Dhoni disappeared like an unsung hero..Let his team to bath in all glory… He was a master tactician who knows the strength and weakness of all his fellow men..To lead team of super gods who has their own tantrums...Dhoni’s growth was supernatural..Under his captaincy India became numero-uno in all formats of the game despite having the mediocre bowling attacks’…He was bestowed with perhaps the flawless instinct in the cricketing world..His bowling changes and field setting at crucial junctures were always appreciated by cricket experts..For example promoting himself in the batting order ahead of in-form Yuvaraj Singh in WC final..Considering the fact that Yuvraj was not comfortable against spinners… Well his departure will create an ireplacable void in the test team...not only His street tennis ball hitting yet unique batting talent…but also his leadership and razor sharp wicket keeping talent will be hugely missed. Very few knows that he was the fastest 100mt runner in the Indian team...that speaks about his unmatched stamina and fitness..Ask Adam Gilchrist or Sangkara…How difficult it is to keep wickets and leading one the most wealthiest yet always being judged unfairly under media lens side of the world.. The World will end but not the critics..He was criticized for being patronized by N Srinivasan…He was scrutinized for his growing fortune…and ouster of players like Gambhir Sehwag and Yuvaraj…Well just remember my captain…Even God has critics…You will still be Ice man of India who hit a six to win us the much elusive world cup….and made us number one in Test cricket which still remains a challenge to our gen-next … Views are personal…..
