OBITUARY - BEVERLY CRIDER WHITSEL - CASHS Class Of 1968 Beverly A. Bev Whitsel, 64, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 1, 1950, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul N. and Margie Hardsock Crider. Bev was a 1968 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She went on to work in the dining facility at Menno Haven for 30 years, until 2005. She enjoyed word search, going to auctions and yard sales, playing bingo, her cat, Kitty, and just being around people. Surviving is her sister, Doris ODonnell (husband Ted) of Chambersburg, PA; a niece, Lisa Tacker (husband Bret); a nephew, Shaun ODonnell (companion Angie; and two great-nephews, Austin and Cody Tacker. Funeral services to honor Bevs life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 1 PM at Salem United Brethren Church, 4349 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201, where the Rev. Art Page will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, and on Monday one hour prior to the service at the above church. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
