OBITUARY Herbert Dean McKenzie Herbert Dean McKenzie, 71, of Tallahassee passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana. The family received friends from 2:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Faith Funeral Home. Faith Funeral Home was handling arrangements (faith funeralhome or 850.539.4300). A native of Sopchoppy, FL, Herbert had been a resident of Tallahassee for over 50 years. He was employed by North Florida Gas for many years and then started his own business, D&H Gas Masters. He enjoyed fishing and horseback riding. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cathy McKenzie of Tallahassee; three sons, Ricky McKenzie (Susan) of Havana, Mark McKenzie of Tallahassee and Mitchell McKenzie of Virginia; and one daughter, Kimberly McKenzie (Glen) of Tallahassee. He was preceded in death by two beloved sons, Todd McKenzie and Jason McKenzie. Additional survivors include one brother, J.R. McKenzie (Karean) of Attapulgus, GA; two sisters, Anne Culpepper of Tallahassee and Kathy Culpepper (Roger) of Attapulgus; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Harmon McKenzie and a brother, Danny McKenzie. havanaherald.net
