OH CRAP !!!!!! I HAD JUST USED THE STEEL ON MY “GOOD” BONING KNIFE, PUTTING AN EDGE ON THE BLADE THAT YOU COULD HAVE SHAVE WITH. (WITH WHICH YOU COULD SHAVE GRAMMAR SLEUTHS). MY DAUGHTER’S GARDEN OVERFLOWS WITH TOMATOES, CUCUMBRS AND ZUCCHINI AND I GOT BLESSED WITH BAGS OF IT ON SATURDAY...TIME TO DO SOME FREEZING. WHEN I WAS A KID CANING TIME CAME EVERY FALL AND I CAN REMEMBER CANNING TOMATOES AND PEACHES. MOM WOULD HAVE A POT ON TO BOIL TO DIP THE FRUIT INTO TO LOOSEN THE SKINS. I HAD READ ON F/B THAT A MICROWAVE WOULD DO THE SAME THING, AND IT DOES. TWO PLUM TOMATOES IN FOR TEN SECONDS, TWO OUT AND THE BONING KNIFE DOES A FINE JOB. A WELL PACKED PINT GLASS PEANUT BUTTER JAR FOR STWEED TOMATOES AND INTO THE FREEZER FOR NEXT WINTER. MY THUMB SPRUNG A LEAK SO I HAVE TO PUT THIS OPERATION ON HOLD SO I MIGHT AS WELL VISIT F/B AND TELL EVEYONE ABOUT MY LAST HALF HOUR, LIKE ANY ONE REALLY GIVES A RAT’S ASS ABOUT PRESERVING TOMATOES.
