OH HAPPY DAY!!! Guess who got adopted! HOPE & FAITH WERE ADOPTED TOGETHER! Look how big they have gotten. Linda Miller and her son have given them a forever home in the country in lovely Placerville! They now enjoy 5 fully fenced acres, half acre is separately fenced for a private doggy paradise, a large fenced porch to enjoy, and a place in mama’s bed at night as they will of course be inside babies. Linda promises, “I want to give these two girls a good home. They will be loved dearly and treated like family. My dog recently died from cancer. I have been heart broken, I need them as much as they need someone.” How kindhearted is she? She just assured us, “Hi already. I just wanted to thank you again..you guys are so awesome!!and the nicest people I have ever met at at an animal rescue place....thank you again, already in love with the girls . Linda miller” Linda, we noticed in your application that you invited us for a home visit….don’t be surprised if we take you up on that this fall! Love that area….so pretty. These two girls had such a horrific start to their lives. For those of you who are new to us, these adorable tiny little lab puppies were found tossed in a garbage can at a car wash! One of our most devoted rescuers, heard little Faith’s sobs of pain and fear. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She was further shocked to see not only signs of abuse, but they each had trauma to one eye. We were all horrified to learn that they vet suspected chemicals were deliberately tossed into each eye, blinding them. Perhaps a terrible beginning to their young lives which then changed when Debra found them. She took them into her home, fed them, got them medical treatment, and has loved and nurtured them, trying to teach them there are kind humans and that it is okay to trust and loved. They healed not only physically, but heart and soul. They are happy, healthy, playful, loving puppies now! This is what you do when you support AFC, whether it is buying tickets to events like tonight’s FIESTA DINNER, make a donation, volunteer, sharing a story….YOU ALL are making this happen!
