OH LORD! WHERE IS MY DAVID “The king said, Is there not still - TopicsExpress

OH LORD! WHERE IS MY DAVID “The king said, Is there not still someone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the [unfailing, unsought, unlimited] mercy and kindness of God? Ziba replied, Jonathan has yet a son who is lame in his feet.” (2 Samuel 9:3). Everytime I read through this scripture I get fresh insight. Mephibosheth, had so many issues in his life that made it difficult for him to fulfil his destiny. He was an heir to the throne but yet was living at the other side of town, living a low life. Because of the many issues of his life that brought about limitations to him. 1.His name ; mephibosheth means shame so am sure no body will want to employ such an individual, am sure no young man or woman will be interested in marrying such an individual. 2.He was lame on his feet; in other words he was handicapped. And of cos this disqualified him from getting his inheritance. 3.He was living off town meaning he was probably not educated nor was he exposed. But in spite of all of this he had an encounter with a man that looked beyond his inadequacies and helped him to his inheritance. I will like you to cry out to God this, that God in His mercies will bring you in contact with your David, one who will look beyond your shortcomings and help you to the top.
