OK, I Scared a Mom rabbit away from her babies in a shallow burrow right in front of my house. Put a box over them to help them stay dry. Did not see Mom rabbit all the rest of the day. Last night I went out and removed the box I had put over the shallow burrow. We had kept the cat in but it rained. The burrow was totally under water this morning. Shit! I felt they had to be drowned and reached in and there they were heads just above water... I took them in to warm them and dry them. What do I do with these three babies? Eyes not open, etc. In good shape for all they have been through. I might have sabotaged Mom Rabbit here for all I know. They had a little pocket of air to breathe. Maybe she would have rescued them? Do I put them back in the wet hole if it quits raining?
