OK, I know some of my friends have been wondering ... and Ive been keeping it pretty much to myself ... but Im feeling like I need the love and support today, so maybe its time to open up.... Tomorrow I will be admitted to the hospital for a surgery to repair some physical damage that was caused when I gave birth to my daughter 21 years ago. Evidently I didnt heal correctly, maybe wasnt put back together properly, and its starting to take its toll on my body. I will not go into any more detail than that, but suffice it to say, Im having some reconstructive stuff done to my insides tomorrow and Im feeling very nervous today. Filling out the required Advanced Directive didnt help, either...!! OMG! And its my first time being unconscious for any kind of procedure so Im kind of anxious about that too. So anyhow, going to hospital in the AM, surgery at 1 pm. Should take a few hours, then in recovery for about an hour or so til I wake up. Then will be in my room after that -- AND PRAYING THAT I DONT HAVE A ROOMMATE!!!!! If everything goes well, I should be home by Saturday evening, resting and enjoying the pain meds and being babied. Resting and taking it easy for 2 weeks. Then going back to work on the 20th of Oct. Hope that this fills in some blanks that some were questioning.
