OK, Im 62 and I was out in the yard before school and work this morning at about, oh, 20 degrees, practicing soccer in the snow with the 5-year-old, who has his first practice-game on Saturday at 2 p.m. -- which is a pretty good time to be somewhere other than soccer fields, maybe with a fishing rod in hand. Tonight were heading for Scheels -- not to evaluate the jig selection or ponder graphite possibilities, but to shop for kids shin guards, shoes and the right-sized soccer ball. I gotta sit down with God and clarify my plan for this stage of my life. Apparently theres some confusion upstairs.
