OK...Im sick of this MJ and LeBron comparison...prepare for a long rant people...........Here is my opinion (any of you that are over 27 or 28 years old will relate Im sure...if you never watched Jordan then maybe not so much......) 1)-Lebron is not, nor will he ever be Micheal Jordon (not the same type of player, and their situations will always be differant...differant teammates, better coach this, less competition that). 2)-Lebron, in my opinion, will go down as the greatest all-around player the NBA has ever seen, and Jordan was nothing compared to Lebron when it comes to doing it all and being able to effect the game from any position on the court at any given time. Its not often that a player can be the best PG, SG, SF, PF, or even Center on the court on any given night. 3)-Lebron will never match the desire and drive to win that Jordan had. Nobody has ever been able to put the game on their shoulders and do it by themselves like M.J. and nobody probably ever will. Lebron was not able to do that when given the chance in Cleveland. Pippen was a great player, but Jordan could have done it with or without him. 4th and final note-- There will never be another Jordan...ever. Jordan could win a game on his own, he could do it with his teammates, or through his teammates. Jordan was the fiercest competitor that ever played. But most important, to me at least, Jordan made the game enjoyable and must watch TV. Families would sit around and watch those bulls teams together, there was always a feeling of magic when Jordan was on the court...you knew something special was going to happen whether it was game 19 of the regular season or game 7 of the NBA finals. You always knew you were gonna get a show of some sort. YOU WOULD BE ENTERTAINED!! You dont get that with todays NBA. Lebron does not gaurantee entertainment, he doesnt always have magical moments...heck, he rarely has just a moment. He is just playing basketball at a high level, and yes he usually dominates...but he doesnt make us want to watch, or even better HAVE TO WATCH!!! When Jordan played, people had to watch; you did not miss a Bulls game if you could help it. Jordan could fly!!! He could literally Fly!! He floated in the air for what seemed like 10 seconds sometimes. He was truly magical to watch, it just brought a smile to your face. I miss that. I say all that to say this, basketball was differant when Jordan played. And it was because of Jordan, and only Jordan. It had nothing to do with any other player in the league. He made you want to watch. There are a lot more good or great players in the league today then there was back then. A good bit more. Seems as though every team today has at least 1 star, and many of them have several stars on their roster. The level of skill is much higher today than it was then. Back then there were just a handful of stars in the whole league, but yet.........**FAMILIES SAT DOWN TOGETHER AND WATCHED BASKETBALL TOGETHER ALMOST EVERY NIGHT**.... My mom Deborah Walker and dad Jimmy Walker were never huge fans of basketball, but they were always the first ones to tell us all that the bulls are playing tonight and they probably watched more games than any of us. Maybe it is a little more special to me because those were very special times in my life...They would let us stay up past our bedtime...ONLY when the bulls played. Mom and Dad sitting in their chairs, my 4 brothers and I sitting wherever we could find a spot (it was a little crowded lol)on the floor, a couch, in a lap...didnt matter....those were great times...ahhh, memories Bottom line is...there will never be another player like Jordan and there will never be a better time for basketball and the NBA than when he played. When families gather with each other and watch NBA games together for several years....there is obviously something very special going on. And it truly was because of 1 man and 1 man only....Jordan So no, Lebron will never be like Jordan, nobody will. They may have better stats, more championships, more money, all of that stuff.....but they will never change the game like he did. Jordan gave us memory after memory, whether they were on the court memories.....or just memories of a better time...they were memories and they will stick with me forever. Sorry so long, I just get so aggravated that people compare the two and most people have no idea how great it was to watch MJ and the Bulls. That will never be matched
