OK OK OK...I sat down to my pc and in 10 min I yawned 3 times...what is it what dat? Here is what I found: . Before you finish reading this, its likely youll yawn at least once. Dont misunderstand, Im not intending to bore you, but just reading about yawning will make you do it, just as seeing or hearing someone else yawn makes us do it, too. HAVE YOU YAWNED YET? So whats behind this mysterious epidemic of yawning? First, lets look at what this bodily motion is: Yawning is an involuntary action that causes us to open our mouths wide and breathe in deeply. We know its involuntary because we do it even before were born: According to Robert Provine, a developmental neuroscientist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, research has shown that 11-week-old fetuses yawn. DONT YOU DARE YAWN! And while yawning is commonly associated with relaxation and drowsiness, your heart rate can rise as much as 30 percent during a yawn. Many parts of the body are in action when you yawn. First, your mouth opens, and your jaw drops, allowing as much air as possible to be taken in. I have inhaled no telling what as I yawn..maybe even a bug. ewww. When you inhale, the air taken in is filling your lungs. Your abdominal muscles flex, and your diaphragm is pushed down. The air you breathe in expands the lungs to capacity and then some of the air is blown back out. HAVE YOU YAWNED YET? Now that we know what a yawn is, lets look at what causes us to do it. A bad date most often will produce a yawn, my preaching this morning produced some...I SEEN YOU!..LOL Have you ever yawned when you got your tax check? YAWN YAWN YAWN...GO AHEAD OPEN THAT MOUTH AND YAWN....So, how many times did you yawn while reading this article? LOL...dont ax me why I think of stuff like this, I think its because David L.
