OK. Rant of the day. Really tired of hearing the same stuff played over and over on 104.9. All you guys play is songs/bands that are pre 1995. If you do actually for once play something recent its todays version of 80s music. Crap like Nickelback or similar knockoffs (Wayland, Pop Evil, Black Stone Cherry, Otherwise). For a while now I have been hearing about 3-5 times a day an advertisement for In This Moment, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Starset playing in Chicago. I have not once heard you play either of the aforementioned bands. All of them good bands, two of them up and comers and extremely underrated. Especially Twelve Foot Ninja. Dudes are amazing. If I had never heard of any of these bands that are constantly being plugged I would wonder to myself, Wow they are advertising this show a lot. I would like to hear these bands I have never heard of. If I like them I might go to this show. But instead ill get Turn the Page by Metallica. At least play the bands you are advertising and give the promoter who is paying for it their money worth. Try some music that was made in the last year or two. Bands like Nothing More, Sevendust, Gemini Syndrome, All That Remains, Bobaflex (another show youre advertising for District next month), Trivium, Evans Blue, Killswitch Engage, Like a Storm, Motionless in White, Mushroomhead, new Slipknot, Nonpoint, Stone Sour, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red, Veer Union, Digital Summer, Demon Hunter. Just because bands like All That Remains, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Motionless in White etc. have heavier music doesnt mean that their singles arent radio friendly. PLAY SOMETHING NEW PLEASE!!!! I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!
