OK cats out of the bag. I am educated and experienced. I have attended classes from the University of Missouri, University of North Florida, Tennessee Tech Graduate. I have over 300 hours of college-level mathematics classes i.e. trigonometry, physics, vector analysis, and geometry. I attended classes taught by the TBI, FBI, ATF, DEA and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I completed the DEAs Drug and Narcotics school. I am a Certified Police Officer, Certified Corrections Officer, Certified Fireman, Certified Field Training Officer, Certified Radar Instructor, Certified Defensive Tactics Instructor, Certified Accident Investigations Instructor, Certified Crash Reconstructionist, Certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in Commercial Vehicle Inspection, and a Certified Draftsman. I have 2 years of experience with the Carter County Sheriffs Dept, 3 years experience with the Johnson City Police Dept, 25 years experince with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and 2 years experience with the Provost Marshalls Office as a Criminal Statistician with CID(USMC). However, these things will not make me a good sheriff. What will determine that... is my ability to understand what the people of this county want and need from their sheriff, working hard every day to meet those needs and using my over 30 years of experience to provide you with the best sheriffs department we can have while holding the line on spending.
