OK guys dont laugh too hard but this is what happened when I took my quad up for a so called test flight yesterday. Im having real bad issues with oscillation. I guess my PID settings are off somewhere. I lost a dang support ball in my crash and didnt realize it until later on. Luckily, I have some replacements already en route. Foresaw this being a possible issue. My quad has some design flaws that make it not the best for an inexperienced pilot. I saw far enough ahead to zip tie the corner vibration dampeners but I should have done all 8 because although those zip ties prevented the quad from being ripped in half it didnt keep the dampeners seated. They all came out of at least one side and they are a headache to put back in. Especially between tightly squeezed lower plate. Live and learn I guess. Also, I got a stress fracture in one of the arms... didnt break all the way through but its going to be an issue. I see now that they dont have replacement parts readily available for this frame either. I wrote the company. Ill see what they have to say about replacement parts. Hate to salvage this frame for parts and I dont want to have to buy a whole new one just for parts. I rather try a different frame. Decisions decisions... either way it looks like Im grounded for a min.
