OK...need some advice. Every year, Mama Horse gets dew poisoning. This year shes got it really bad. Ive tried NuStock, MTG, and now am doing Vetericyn 3xs a day since yesterday. Yesterday, her back leg was bleeding from her biting at her foot. She gets it mostly behind and just under her pastern. I soaked her in warm water to soften the scabs and tried to remove as much as I could, then dried and put the Vetericyn to it. Prior to that I was doing the NuStock and prior to that MTG. Last year I did all the same thing and even tried Desitin. Ive cut as much of her hair away as I can without taking the clippers to her, which she wont let me because she is sore. I just am at the end of my patience with not being able to get her cleared up! I feel so bad...as I know these sores hurt. Faith has a couple on one foot and Sonny has one. I used to think it was scratches but my old farrier said no, it was dew poisoning. Any suggestions Gaiters???
