OK, so I am leaving to pick up my wife, right? She is the camera person at church tonight and I have the car! So, an HOUR beforehand, I start getting ready right? Alright! Got all but my shoes on, dog went out for the last time before I left, so he was fine. OK? So, got one of my shoes on, just fine and dandy! Well, I then began to put on the OTHER shoe! It took me no less than HALF AN HOUR!!!! Still, no problem right? Yeah, right. Except I forgot one teeny tiny thing…I wore myself out trying to put that dad-blasted shoed on!!! No really, a ‘little’ shoe gave me such problems that I actually broke a SWEAT trying to put that idiotic shoe on! It was the tongue! That thing kept folding and blocking my foot! Dang it to hades, why didn’t I buy that durned SHOE HORN?!?!?!?! So, shoes on and ready to leave now, right? Yeah, right! I closed the front door, turned around and lost my balance! Not a dizzy losing of balance, just a legs giving out losing of balance! Now, I tried to sit on the chair just outside my door, but there was STUFF on it, so I tried to sit ‘around’ it. In trying, I totally missed the chair and in a slight panic, steeled myself for the inevitable fall to the floor (is it floor when it’s the front doorway area? All wood and whatnot? Well anyway, that is where I landed. All wood and not a single splinter! So, sitting there, I realized I still needed to stand somehow. I called the guys and arranged to have Francesca picked up from work and delivered to church and then started looking at how I was gonna extricate myself safely, from the floor. I realized, almost to tears (I STILL don’t cry!) that I am too BIG to fall into a cramped space that I found myself in. That and my legs still wouldn’t fold well enough to but crawl to the steps so I could get leverage to pull myself up! Anyway, after resting for a half hour, I tried once more to drag myself over to the steps to pull myself up! Apparently I made it since I am here talking to y’all! Now, I am not gonna try to go out to the car to pick up Francesca tonight…or maybe I will, that would be a nice surprise! Maybe But, we will see, won’t we? :D
