OK, so Im going to apologize in advance to the people who dont care, but Ill probably be posting all the details of my trip on here because my phone use is seriously limited and I dont have enough time to keep everyone who is calling/texting (love you guys!) posted via phone.. Today was the first day of training. I was in class for 9 hours and it was insane. (There is also essentially no cell service in the building, not that I could really have my phone out if there was). When we walked in the front doors, every SW employee at HDQ was there cheering and clapping and yelling for us for a solid 10 minutes which actually kinda gave me chills. They all took the time to stop what they were doing in the middle of their workday to come to the lobby and (loudly) welcome us on our first day. I felt so inspired and appreciated all day. Did you know less than 1% of all applicants were selected? Yeah, thats me. Apparently they think we are special, and they dont fail to constantly tell us how special we are... Which is quite nice. We danced, sang, had a 240-person paper-rock-scissors match in approximately 4 minutes, screamed & laughed hysterically on multiple occasions. I already had so much respect for this company, but it multiplied today. We learned all about our benefits, SW history (which is really incredible- if youve never researched this company you should), and listened to tons of great speakers, After training, I hit the great gym at the hotel with my roommate and a friend and then we studied, went out to dinner, and then studied for a couple more hours. There is still this big test looming in the near future and if I dont make a 90 or higher, they send my butt home. Hence all the studying. My room is awesome, there is a rooftop pool and my bed is so comfortable its almost impossible to drag myself out. So far, I think thisll work. :) Keep your fingers crossed for me!
